Yiddishe Cup, on the other hand, would<\/em> play “Hava Nagila.”\u00a0 We would play the “Chicken Dance” too.\u00a0 We would not<\/em> play “Electric Slide.”\u00a0 We drew the line in the charoses<\/em> there.\u00a0 But we would pop in a CD of “Electric Slide.”\u00a0 (Charoses<\/em> is an apples and nuts Passover dish.\u00a0 Jews, patience.\u00a0 Three goys<\/em> in Germany are reading this right now.)<\/p>\n

The Kleveland Klezmorim, led by Greg “Seltzer” Selker<\/a>,<\/strong><\/span> disbanded in 1990.\u00a0 During the 1990s, a lot of people called me “Selker.”<\/p>\n

We were both klezmer guys and had similar sounding names.<\/p>\n

Nobody ever called me Seltzer.\u00a0 Nobody called Selker “Seltzer” either.\u00a0 Two missed opportunities.
