I knew him only by reputation. Morey wasn\u2019t in the Sixth District &#8212; my old police beat.\u00a0The funniest cop in the Sixth was Paul Falzone, who once told me, \u201cI have eight minutes of material to Morey\u2019s twelve. How can you tell Ronald McDonald at a nudist colony? He eventually became police chief of Bratenahl, a suburb.\u00a0In 2008 Cuyahoga County tried to put Falzone in jail for theft.\u00a0Something about drugs and guns missing from the Bratenahl property room. Falzone was acquitted and sued Bratenahl for \u201chumiliation.\u201d\u00a0No joke there.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>Falzone: \u201cSo<\/strong><\/span> I\u2019m on patrol and walk into the Viking Bar.\u00a0I see a 16-year-old punk with a Miller\u2019s. I say, \u2018When\u2019s your birthday, kid?\u2019 He says, \u2018October 10.\u2019 \u2018What year?\u2019 \u2018Every year.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I also know a <em>Myron<\/em> Cohen imitator. He\u2019s Dave Rothenberg, a resident of Myers apartments in Beachwood. Different story.
