This was in 1980, when C&amp;L\u2019s was still at Cedar Center.\u00a0The lunch was Hollywood-<em>style<\/em>, not Hollywood kosher.\u00a0Bert Dragin, the owner of a local furniture store chain, was looking for a movie script. Dragin said to me, \u201cI\u2019ve got money.\u00a0Everybody will talk to me in L.A.\u00a0Right now I have something in the Best of the New York Erotic Film Festival.\u201d He wondered if I would write a screenplay about a fire at a gay nightclub in Atlanta.\u00a0Not my thing, I told him.<\/p>\n<p>Dragin sold his business and moved to Hollywood.\u00a0He produced <em>Suburbia<\/em> (1983) and directed <em>Summer Camp Nightmare (<\/em>1987) and <em>Twice Dead (<\/em>1988).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>Dragin said,<\/strong><\/span> \u201cYou heard of <em>Erotic Salad<\/em>? It\u2019s got a soft-X rating.\u201d I said no.
