LeBron James.<\/p>\n<p>Once we played for the president of Tulane  University. \u00a0At another bar mitzvah, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.floryjagoda.com\/\">Flory Jagoda<\/a>, the queen of Sephardic music, was there.\u00a0 At another <em>simcha<\/em> (celebration), we ran into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.namm.org\/library\/oral-history\/max-herman\">Max Herman<\/a>, a trumpeter who used to play with Mickey Katz in Los   Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody has heard of these people. That&#8217;s the Rust Belt.\u00a0 We&#8217;re OK with it.\u00a0 What&#8217;s our option?\u00a0 Move to Florida?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>We like it here.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>At private parties, we&#8217;re asked if we travel.\u00a0 Will we come to Minneapolis? \u00a0Yes, pay us 7 grand and we&#8217;re there.\u00a0 These folks never come through; they&#8217;re just caught up in the excitement of the party.\u00a0 Well, one time we missed a for-real gig.\u00a0 That was from the frozen chicken king of California.\u00a0 A Mr. Zacky.\u00a0 He saw us at a wedding in Akron and asked us to play his wedding in L.A. \u00a0\u00a0Too bad we were already booked.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Tomorrow:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">LARGE NUMBERS . . .
